INTRODUCTION

It gives me a great pleasure to inform you that we have established this new web-site for our Syrian Pediatrics Society, which is going to be the first achievement, of the new executive committee.
The Syrian Pediatrics Society was established in 1960, the members were a few membersِ, this number has increased to about,720 the society used to have some activities in the past but not up to the expected standard? At present there is a plane to activate the society from all aspects, there is one main conference yearly, 2-3 symposium in different cities, there is monthly lecture, the society has established, a bulletin every 3 months which will contain up to date medical subject, social news, quizzes .. etc.
Our aim also to encourage all pediatricians to be members in the society, also we want every body to participate in the activities of the society according to their interest and subspecialty,
Also we encourage establishment of subspecialty divisions. At present we have Neonatology Division and Gastro-enterology Division.
The website will include scientific activities, social activities, some interesting clinical cases, advertisement of local and international conferences, also any thing with interest of members or any problem about pediatrics and the practice of pediatrics in our country and the Arab world, the website will be up-grade it form time to time as it is necessary
